Family Friendly Cape Cod Hotel: The Club at New Seabury

Summer! My favorite time of the year. Two weeks ago we had an amazing Cape escape at The Club at New Seabury in Cape Cod. This was our second time staying there and it truly is such a hidden gem, especially for families! Let me share a little bit more about why this should be your next Cape Cod destination...

The Club at New Seabury is located in Mashpee, MA which isn't too far over the Cape Cod bridge so it is fairly easy to get to from MA or RI. The Club is actually a premier private, member only golf community that offers golf courses, full service club-house, 5 restaurants, two clubs and beach bars, full-service beach, tennis courts, pools, walking trails, and more! The reason why this is a hidden gem... they offer guest accommodations for a relaxing getaway with the perk of being able to use all of the clubs amenities!

It gets better.. you're not just staying in a basic hotel room when you stay as a guest at New Seabury. You have an option to book in either one of their fully-equipped condos (2BR,2B or 1BR,1B) or their cottages (2BR,1B or 1BR,1B). They truly have everything you need which is a game changer when traveling with kids. This was our second year staying in one of their Sea Quarters 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condos and it did not disappoint! We were in a different unit but it was almost identical to last years. Let me walk you through the condo a bit...

When you driving to the Sea Quarters units you will notice how beautifully manicured the entire property is, every corner looks like it is out of a magazine. When you first walk into the unit the first floor consists of a bedroom with 2 twin beds and then a full size bath. We had friends stay with us and they comfortable fit a pack n play in the room with them for their baby. Down the hallway you will find a washer and dryer tucked in closet as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. Fridge, sink, dishwasher, silverware, toaster, microwave, blender, utensils, pans, you name it!! Not many hotels offer that and takes the stress away of traveling with kids. We popped over to the grocery store 10 min away and stocked up the fridge with snacks. There is even a small dining table that sits 4 with a slider that opens up to a private patio with an outdoor table that also sits 4. Off the kitchen, there is a large living room with a sectional that is actually a pull out sofa and a sunroom that has a little seating area as well.

Upstairs in the condo you will find an additional bedroom with a King bed (we also stuck a pack n play in here and there was plenty of room). Across the hall is another full bathroom stocked with toiletries, towels, a hair dryer and more.

From the condos, you do have to drive to the amenities, they are not within walking distance. However, if you stay at the cottages, you are walking distance to the beach and one of the pools. The property is so big so it does take about 5ish minutes to get to either of the pools or the beach but the drive throughout the golf course and the residential homes within the complex is beautiful.

Nightly rentals are available year round and in the summer there is a 3 night minimum stay. The 2BR,2B condo is $750 per a night in the summer, but is a great option to split with friends or another family as it can sleep 4-6 . You can find more about the rates and different accommodation options here: https://www.newseabury.com/guest-accommodations

Lets talk a bit more about the amazing amenities you have access to when you stay as a guest on the property.

The Athletic Club

A great option for a day of fun with younger kids! The Athletic Club is home to one of the newest pools on the property. It is a walk-in style pool which provides a really large shallow area which was perfect for my 2 year old! He loved be able to push his truck around and play with his toys. In addition to the gorgeous pool, there is a hot tub, yard games, plenty of lounge chairs & antigravity chairs, multiple tennis courts, and a playground. While sitting by the pool you can order food, smoothies, and drinks from the Athletic Club Café which was delicious and convenient. It was really nice not having to haul beach chairs, towels, food, drinks, etc. with us- they have everything you need. Just bring yourself and some sunscreen :)

The Cabana Club

The Cabana Club is the home to another amazing pool which overlooks the Nantucket sound. There is a large pool with a kiddie pool that is fully shaded which was awesome! While at the pool, you can enjoy food from The Popponesset Inn or a drink from the Beach Bar. Cam loved getting a popsicle from the snack bar to enjoy in between swims! There are outdoor sit-down options to eat or you can get it to go to eat at your chair. When you walk in, you have to show proof of stay which is a card given to you when you check in. Once you show that, you get your towels and pick out a spot to set up for the day!

Off of the pool is access to the private beach where chairs and umbrellas are waiting to be set up for you. There is an awesome Beach Bar right on the sand where you can get drinks and order lunch from the Sand Wedge Bistro to either eat at the bar or bring to your chairs. We enjoyed getting frozen drinks and lunch to go and eating it on the beach. The turkey club was delish!

Marketplace

Walking distance from the Cabana Club (pool & beach) is a marketplace that is another great option for families. For breakfast, you can pop over here to grab coffee and a muffin from the on-site Cape Cod Coffee shop. For lunch or dinner, you can order food from the cafe or the Poppy Raw Bar- if you like lobster rolls, this is your spot to go. For dessert, stop by the ice cream shop or candy shop. We enjoyed going here after dinner to roam around the shops, the toy store, and listening to the live music! They even have a really cute mini golf course for older kids.

 Multiple Dining Options

All of the dining options on the property are amazing. You can't go wrong! The Popponesset Inn was a great sit down dinner option for kids. 95 Shore is another dining option that we didn't make it to this year but have heard incredible things about. We hope to make it there during our next stay! The Lure is an outdoor spot right on the beach and is an awesome spot to go for a drink and food. The view is incredible & my husband loved that they had TV's set up.

Within a 10 minute drive you will find a grocery store, liquor store, and Mashpee Commons which has tons of stores to shop and additional restaurants.

No matter what we were doing during our stay, every staff member we encountered was truly incredible! Everyone was so nice, welcoming, and professional. If you are looking for a Cape Escape with friends or family, The Club At New Seabury is a great option to be able to have a resort- style stay and access to amazing amenities all in one spot. We hope to be able to make it back next Summer and will share more then!

 Best,

Haley
