Rug Hack- Combining Two 5'7 Rugs

I saw the perfect rug for my bedroom on clearance but of course, it was only for a 5x7 size and I needed at least an 8x10 to go under our king bed.

I decided to test out and grab two of the 5x7 rugs with the intention of putting them together to make one big rug. They were only $30 each where as the 8x10 was $200 so I figured I'd give it a shot. The rug had a lot of designs going on so I had a feeling my idea would work. I ordered these Gorilla Grip Rug Grippers on Amazon to "tape" the rug together so it wouldn't separate.

Solo Stove Fire Pit Review!

I am so excited to share my review after using our Solo Stove fire pit this weekend!  Solo Stove is the world's most unique fire pit. It has less smoke and is portable. The best part in my opinion is that it can be used anywhere! We used it this weekend on the deck but it can be used on grass, driveway, really anywhere! They make great gifts for a birthday, housewarming, Father's Day, or if you are just looking for a really cool fire pit to enjoy outside, its a great gift for yourself!

DIY Wood Accent Wall - For Beginners

The day I found out we were having a boy I started pinning modern nursery pictures on Pinterest. All my pins had fun wooden accent walls behind the crib, I loved the look of it! When Cam was born we were in the process of selling our house and I didn't want to do the project there and now that we have been in our new home for 3 months I felt ready to tackle his room and make my vision come to life! This project really requires 2 power tools: a saw (I used a miter) and a nail gun. Another side note is that the pieces of wood are long so you will need some type of truck to get them home.

Affordable Light Fixtures Under $100 (& Tips To Save More)

 Affordable Light Fixtures Under $150

I think the hardest part of building our house was picking the dang light fixtures and staying within budget. We were given an allowance of $1,500 to use on lighting. I am a deal hunter, so at first I thought "no big deal at all, that is a good budget". Man, there are SO many lights you don't think of that fall into that category. I obviously was thinking of bedroom lights, kitchen island lights, and bathroom vanity lights. I was not thinking about back yard flood lights, garage door lights, hallway lights, the freaking doorbell (lol). I shopped the sales like c.r.a.z.y (I'll share some tips below too) and we still went over budget by about $600 but almost every single light we (I) picked out was under $150.

Guest/ Kids Bathroom Reveal

 Guest/ Kids Bathroom Reveal

-Affordable | Modern | Boho-

Happy New Year! What a year, but for us, it was the best yet! We welcomed our sweet baby boy and finished building our forever house. I've spent the last year and half making decisions down to the color of grout and desiging the spaces in my head. I am *finally* so excited to share the first reveal with you, the upstairs kids bathroom. After being on Pinterest for many hours looking at inspo pics I decided I wanted a neutral, modern, boho vibe. I am a sucker for a good deal so after lots of searching, I found some really great affordable options that still maintained good quality- I have a link for pretty much everything that I will put below!
