Incline or flat walking pad? Egofit discount codes for both!

It's been 2 months since I made the decision to swap out my aseptically pleasing desk at home for a standing desk with a walking pad and it was the BEST decision I have ever made. Not only do I feel great during/after using my walking pad my productivity at work has skyrocketed!

I had the opportunity to try out 2 different types of walking pads from Egofit: one with a slight incline and a flat one. I love them both for different reasons which I will share more of below.

I still can't believe I would just sit at my desk in the corner of my room for 8 hours straight. I typically will walk 3-5 miles a day now. My neighbor and I challenged each other to walk a 1/2 marathon (13 miles) during the workday and that was awesome and surprisingly easy. The number one question I get asked is if it is hard to focus while walking and the answer is no. Honestly, I forget that I am walking most of the time because I become so focused on the work that I am doing. I also get asked about weight loss and if I have noticed a difference. The answer to that is yet. For the last 3 months, I have been working hard on doing Peloton workouts 4-5 days a week and eating better. I was seeing a slow and steady weightless of .06 lbs a week. When I introduced the walking pad on top of that, I started to lose 1 lb a week and noticed a lot more slimming.

Now onto the walking pads. As I mentioned I was able to try 2 from Egofit, one with a slight incline and a flat one. I love them both but for different reasons!! If you're trying to decide let me help explain what I love about each one.

They both have the same remote and the screen on the walking pads rotates between calories, distance, and steps. The remote has an on and off button along with a speed-up and down button. There isn't a button to pause. I think there is an app you can use but I haven't been able to figure it out. I just make sure before I hop off to look at how many miles I had walked. Sometimes I will even put my Apple Watch on my ankle to track my steps that way.

Incline Walking pad: Pro-M1

This one will make you sweat! My only experience with prior walking pads had been on flat ones and I was not expecting how much harder the tiny slight incline would be. Physically, this one is a lot smaller than my other flat walking pads: more compact, lighter, and shorter.

The incline is pretty minimal but man do I notice a difference! Typically, on a flat walking pad, I walk between 2.5-3.5 while working, however, on the inclined pad the max I was able to do was 2.5. I was only able to walk for about 2 miles straight and then had to take a break because I was dripping sweat! It took me almost twice as long to get to 2 miles as it does on the flat inclines, but I burnt almost double the amount of calories. Slow & steady! I'm not going to lie I was counting down the minutes until it was done it was that hard. I found it a little harder to focus on my work because I was focusing more on how hard it was. I like being able to incorporate this into my weekly walking at work 1-2 times a week instead of a workout. My glutes were sore the next day! I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a little more challenging workout while walking. I would not recommend walking on this while having to talk or be on video because I was out of breath and I consider myself pretty active.

Flat Walking pad: F1

This walking pad is a great everyday walking pad. It is pretty flat that it can easily slide under a bed or be pushed into a corner somewhere. I can easily walk multiple miles on this (with the right pair of shoes!!!) without even knowing I am doing so. My typical speed when I am working is 2.5-3.0, if I am off video listening to a call I can walk at 3.5. At that speed, I am able to complete 3 miles within 1 hour. It really feels effortless because you are so preoccupied with work.

Introducing a flat walking pad into my weekly workout routine has been a game changer! I feel so much better mentally and physically. Even after walking 13 miles one day, I wasn't sore the next day. If I carve out an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon I able to get SIX miles in which is just crazy to me. I would not recommend walking on this during a video meeting or a meeting where you have to talk because it defiantly still makes a bit of noise. I would recommend this for someone who has a goal of getting more steps in daily!
